2021 Home prices remain strong

Experts believe that home values will remain strong throughout 2021 even though there was some speculation at the beginning of the year indicating a slow down.


The thinking was that inventory would increase from record-low levels and put an end to the bidding wars that have driven home prices up over the past twelve months. However, that increase in inventory has yet to materialize.


After the first quarter of 2021 home price forecast are predicted to increase anywhere from 6.6% up to a whopping 10.3%


Demand will remain strong, so future appreciation will be determined by how quickly listing inventory makes its way to the market.


Home Prices don't seem to be taking a hit, but rather holding firm if not heading up. Interest rate hikes may slow down home sales but low inventory is the driving force in today's real estate market in Ventura County.
